Rye Harbour Village
The village is the best place from which to explore the nature reserve. It has a large free car park and the facilities you need. It has an interesting church, a lifeboat house, a Martello Tower, a shop and two good pubs.
For about 200 years this small village has been a base for fishermen, the lifeboat crew and workers in the "shingle industry" and the chemical industry.
