Recycling Shingle

The movement of shingle in lorries, to maintain the sea defences, has resumed along the Beach Reserve, so take extra care if visiting mid-week. The Environment Agency’s contractors are using 5 lorries to run the shingle from the River Mouth, along the road to Pett Level. If you are using the road please keep a look out and get right off the road to allow them to pass safely. The area around the River Mouth has been fenced off to allow the bulldozer and excavator to load the lorries with shingle. See RX projects for more detail.
